The L.I.G was formed in Brooklyn’s Bed-Stuy in 2005. Bassist, Errol Williamson and Percussionist/ Lyricist, Eric Parker, joined forces with Keyboardist, Al Dacary to form a collective that honed in on the styling’s of 70’s Funk music, (a period that has defined today’s genres and cultures) and captured the very essence of its roots and originality.

Drummer/Percussionist/Lyricist: Eric Parker
Better known as “The Chief Rocker”, Eric was raised in Brooklyn and Queens, New York. As a result he had access to all the sounds New York had to offer. With the heavy influences of James Brown, Led Zeppelin and the Rolling Stones, “The Chief Rocker” set out to funk the world.

Bassist: Errol Williamson
Errol came to New York via London Town, UK. Growing up with a Caribbean background, Errol was exposed to a tradition of Calypso and Reggae. He is also an admirer of New York’s CBGB’s and It cannot be ignored that these influences have added to an “Explosive” style that has made him a most sought after bass player.

Keyboardist/Vocalist: Al Dacary
Mr. Dacary comes to New York by way of North Carolina. Coming up in the church, he was influenced by the good consciousness and spirit of Gospel music. He has written, produced and performed music from New York to North Carolina, from Gospel to Hip Hop, making Mr. Dacary is an innovator and influence for many musicians.

Guitarist/Vocalist: Durand Daniel
Mr. Daniel came aboard the “Mother Ship” in 2007 when he saw the band perform for the NYC Marathon. Born in Los Angeles and being raised in New York provided Mr. Daniel with a multicultural musical background. With roots in Afro Carib Music, New Orleans and the Mississippi Delta, Mr. Daniel is indeed a versatile musician.

The four elements of Guitar, Bass, Keyboard and Drums makes for one of the tightest rhythm sections one would want to hear. Combined with the harmonic vocals to give the band an overall “Good-Spired”, Wholesome, and Uplifting vibe that attracts all people!

LIG Performs LIVE this Sunday december 18th, 5-8pm

Patafunk (born Carlos Eduardo Martinez) is a Venezuelan DJ/Producer/Remixer. He started traveling with his music, a very eclectic sound that goes from disco & house to reggae & tropical and can be described as "the sound of the space listened from the beach". Depending on the music he releases, Patafunk can be seen in different formats, from a solo artist playing as DJ to a several people playing as live band, however formats are not too important on Patafunk's music as there is always a continuous evolution and transformation through a endless experimentation.Patafunk has a strong visual art content run by Su Patafunk (Susana Colina) Graphic/Fashion Designer and often musician on Patafunk (Live Band)In 2010 Patafunk moved to Brooklyn/NY where his DJ sessions and productions became more focused on Nu-Disco & House, looking for a global sound with his unique tropical touch

Patafunk is currenty on tour and set to perform at Five Spot on Sunday October 02nd, 7:00pm

The Vision Behind
As musicians or singers we sometimes meet great people through working the music circuit or playing various gigs. Sometimes seeing those people again is determined by us getting called for the same gig. If that doesn't happen it may be months and sometimes years before that happens. So we created this monthly event to promote  unity ,positive vibes and consistent communication among us musicians and singers. In the process we can also create and enjoy some great music. We appreciate all the support and help towards promoting and financing this venture. Every little bit helps. For more info checkout

Dim the lights, let the wine breathe and be swept away by the "Gotham Lush" (def. NYC Opulence) jazz stylings of vocalist/violinist Pamela Hamilton. The Ohio native has co-opted the term "Gotham Lush" to describe her style that ranges from rich traditional jazz to neo-soul. Consequently, she has lovingly endured some well intentioned expressions of concerns from some misinformed people for her to consider embracing a more temperate lifestyle. "Gotham Lush" is also the title of her soon to be released debut EP independent recording featuring a compilation of live recordings from various venues in New York City.

Pamela's music is a tantalizing buffet of sumptuous sounds seeped in the richness of blues, traditional jazz, cool jazz, fusion, R&B, neo-soul and everything in between. The end result is just like your favorite home cooked comfort food on a dreary cold day taking your blues away. It feels so good. Can I say that? Imagine Sarah Vaughan meets The Stylistics, Steely Dan, Erykah Badu and Stephanie Grapelli.

Pamela Hamilton has performed and shared the stage with a variety of music luminaries from the Jazz, R&B and Gospel worlds such as Mark O'Connor, John Blake Jr., Derol-Anger Turtle Island Quartet, Oscar Peterson, Louie Bellson, Earl Klugh, Spiro Gyra, War, Al Green, Dazz Band, Bette Midler, Kim Burrell, Hezekiah Walker and Donald Lawrence. She's also an instructor at various music institutions and enrichment programs in New York City including Jazz at Lincoln Center Middle School Jazz Academy, The Harlem's Children Zone, The Harlem School For The Arts and The Mark O'Connor School

Pamela will be performing LIVE at Five Spot on July 20th and 23rd!!!!
